GOA (India) (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed hope on Saturday that the leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member states will make a decision on the beginning of talks to create a free trade zone with India in December.
"We see big prospects of creation of a free trade zone area between India and the Eurasian Economic Union… We hope that the decision on the beginning of the talks [on the issue] would be made by the leaders of the EEU this December," Putin said following the talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
