MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Saturday, WikiLeaks released a batch of Podesta's emails containing what the website claimed to be excerpts from the paid speeches the nominee made for the Wall Street in 2013-2014. Since then, the whistleblowers have released four more portions of Podesta's letters. On Wednesday, the campaign chairman accused Russia's intelligence of the hacking.
The Wall Street Journal said Wednesday citing sources familiar with the investigation that the FBI suspected Russia's security services could be behind the hack attack on Podesta that resulted in the leak.
In July, US media alleged that investigators blamed Russian-linked hackers for a breach of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) email system that revealed party officials colluded to support Clinton’s election campaign.

In September, US media reported that the country's intelligence services and law enforcement agencies were looking for evidence of covert operations allegedly conducted by Russia on the US soil. At the same time, The Washington Post reported, citing a senior intelligence official, speaking on condition of anonymity, that the United States had no "definitive proof" of Russia's involvement.
On Wednesday, Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergei Kislyak said that Russia was not interfering with US internal affairs, and Washington, in turn, had not provided Russia with any evidence regarding the voiced allegation of cyberattacks.
