Italian Nobel-Winning Playwright Dario Fo Dies at 90

Dario Fo, an Italian writer and performer, who won the Nobel prize for literature in 1997, has died at the age of 90.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Fo was suffering lung problems and died in Milan's Sacco hospital, having spent there two weeks, the Corriere della Sera newspaper reported, citing the Italian government.

The playwright is famous for his satire, reflected in such political farce as "Accidental Death of an Anarchist" and dozens of other works. His plays have been translated into different languages and have been performed across all continents.
