Kremlin Denies Russia, Turkey Discussed Creation of Joint Missile Defense System

The issue of creation of a joint missile defense system of Turkey and Russia was not discussed during talks of Moscow and Ankara, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian and Turkish presidents, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, respectively, spoke of defense cooperation on Monday. Following the talks, local media reported that Turkey could consider Russia’s proposal to develop a missile defense system.
