Petro Poroshenko's party will not support scrapping a visa-free regime with Russia.

KIEV (Sputnik) — Ukraine's largest political party, the Petro Poroshenko Bloc "Solidarnost," will not vote in favor of scrapping a visa-free regime with Russia, the party's deputy leader said Thursday.

"Our faction had decided at the meeting not to vote for a resolution on the introduction a visa regime with Russia," Oleksiy Goncharenko said as quoted by the party website.

Andriy Parubiy, the speaker of Ukraine's parliament, said this week he wanted to renew debate on introducing the visa regime with Russia.
