Several members of Afghanistan's parliament from the northern country's city of Kunduz on Wednesday accused local police and authorities of cooperation with the Taliban movement, local media reported.

Afghan Forces Free Kunduz of Taliban, Militants 'Sustain Heavy Losses'
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Sunday, Taliban launched a coordinated offensive on Kunduz and by Wednesday the group has almost captured the city.

According to the TOLOnews television channel, the parliamentarians from the attacked city claimed that Kunduz officials, including the ones from the country's army and police handed it to the Taliban.

The Parliament's Internal Security Commission stated that police officers had been selling weapons and checkpoints to the militants, the broadcaster added.

Afghanistan is experiencing political, social and security instability, as the Taliban movement and other radical extremist organizations have expanded their activities in the country.
