WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Yahoo users should close their accounts after a report revealed that the company had secretly scanned emails for US intelligence services, National Security Agency (NSA) whistleblower Edward Snowden said Tuesday in a Twitter message.

The former NSA contractor’s message came in response to US media reports on Tuesday that Yahoo had scanned user emails for officials of US intelligence agencies.
