Social network users spotted a new road sign advising Pokémon Go players hunting for the virtual creatures set up in the historic center of St. Petersburg near the Church of the Savior on Blood and the State Russian Museum, RIA Novosti reported on Monday.

"Took a photo of the St. Petersburg's first road sign ‘Caution! Pokemon catchers.' Also posed a danger to the drivers while catching three Pokémon near this sign," Instagram user sukhodolsky wrote.

The triangular sign shows the schematic figures of two people with mobile phones targeted at a figure of Pikachu. The city's traffic police has not yet commented on the unauthorized installation of this traffic sign.

"A ‘Caution! Pokémon catchers' road sign appeared in St. Petersburg. Moscow needs one, too," reported one of the players from a Pokémon Go community on the social network VK.com.

In July, the State Russian Museum reported that it does not prohibit catching Pokémons in the museum complex, but considers the game a temporary fad. General Director of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky also said that he had no plans to ban playing Pokémon GO near the museum. According to him, the ban on catching Pokémons in the complex will be relevant only if there is a likelihood of damage to any exhibits or to the places where they are stored.
