Exactly one year ago, on September 30, 2015 the Russian Aerospace Forces formed a special temporary taskforce that was deployed in Syria to support the government forces of President Bashar Assad in their war against the encroaching forces of Daesh (ISIL/ISIS) terrorist organization.

Despite its somewhat compact size, this group helped turn the tide of the conflict and played a pivotal role in a number of important military operations conducted against Daesh by the Syrian Arab Army

These are the warplanes and helicopters that gave Daesh a bloody nose and continue to strike fear into the hearts of terrorists across the beleaguered Middle Eastern country.

Which of these combat aircraft is the most impressive, in your opinion?
