UK Politics Likely to Shift to Xenophobic Right After Brexit
MOSCOW (Sputnik) The total number of politically motivated crimes against refugees and asylum seekers reached 1800 with 78 instances of arson and eight homicides, Der Spiegel Magazine reported.

Despite the surge in the number of xenophobic crimes, the authorities declared only 20 right-wing extremists as "dangerous" while there are 520 registered dangerous Islamists.

The European Union is currently struggling to manage a massive refugee crisis, with hundreds of thousands of people leaving conflict-torn countries in the Middle East and North Africa to escape violence and poverty and seeking asylum in Europe. In 2015, more than 1 million migrants and asylum seekers arrived to Germany.
