UNITED NATIONS (Sputnik) – The resolution of the conflict in Syria is dependent on restoring the cessation of hostilities in the country, the UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura told reporters at the United Nations on Wednesday.

"The further development of the situation in Syria now depends on the revival of the ceasefire," de Mistura stated.
