US-Led coalition's airstrikes on Syrian Army positions in Deir ez-Zor are nothing but flagrant violation of Syrian Ceasefire, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said during the UN Security Council meeting.

"The [US-led] coalition's airstrikes on the government forces in Deir ez-Zor on September 16 are a flagrant violation of the cessation of hostilities [in Syria]," Sergei Lavrov said. "Immediately after these airstrikes Daesh terrorists started to attack the Syrian army."

Intra-Syrian talks must be resumed as soon as possible without any preconditions, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Wednesday.

"Attempts by some participants [of the talks] to put forward certain preconditions or ultimatums, to sabotage the UN Resolution 22/54 are unacceptable," Lavrov said during a ministerial meeting on Syria on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

"We should not give in to this blackmail. The talks must be resumed immediately," Lavrov stressed.

The Russian minister added that Russia would support Syria reconciliation efforts by UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura, and work wit both the Assad government and opposition forces to ensure the success of the peace process in the war-torn country.

It is high time to revise the list of terrorist organizations in Syria, concentrating on distinguishing between moderate opposition forces and terrorist groups, such as Islamic State and Nusra Front, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"The leadership of Ahrar al-Sham declared, following the announcement of US-Russia agreement coming into force on September 12, that it would not abide by the agreement since it listed Nusra Front as a terrorist organization, whereas Ahrar al-Sham did not see it as such and actively collaborated with it," Lavrov said during the ministerial meeting on Syria at the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

"This is why I believe it is time to revise the list of terrorist organizations," Lavrov stressed.

According to Lavrov, US-Russia agreement from September 9 emphasized distinguishing between opposition forces and terrorist organizations, like IS and Nusra Front, as a key priority, to "effectively facilitate ceasefire, respond to humanitarian crises, and, most importantly, to stop terrorists' attempts to escape punishment under the guise of collaboration with the so-called moderate opposition ceasefire participants."

Moreover, Moscow continues to insist on disclosing its latest agreement with the United States on Syria, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the UN Security Council meeting in New York.

"Russia is still ready to make them [US-Russia Syria agreements] public and circulate them around United Nations Organization," Lavrov said during a ministerial meeting on Syria on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

According to the Russian foreign minister, the agreements stressed that distinguishing between opposition forces and terrorists was a key priority.

On September 9, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry presented a new plan to regulate the conflict in Syria. The ceasefire agreed upon by both sides came into force on September 12, but the conflict parties have accused each other of truce violations.
