Moscow investigates details of the alleged attack on the Russian embassy in Ukraine, a source in the Russian Foreign Ministry said Saturday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Commenting on the attack on the Russian embassy in Kiev, the source said:

"The ministry verifies information, checks all the details of the incident. If it is confirmed, the [Moscow's] reaction will follow immediately."

Earlier on Saturday, about 20 individuals reportedly attacked the Russian embassy in Kiev with firecrackers and fireworks. The embassy building did not sustain any visible damage, according to Ukrainian media reports.
