The US-led coalition has declined to comment on the airstrike against Syrian government positions near the Deir ez-Zor Airport, a press service spokesperson told RIA Novosti.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The Operation Inherent Resolve press service declined to comment on the matter due to its sensitive nature, referring the question to the US Central Command.
Earlier in the day, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said that coalition planes carried out four attacks on the Syrian forces, killing 62 servicemen and injuring about 100.
