Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree giving priority to Russian goods and services over foreign ones in government procurement starting next year, a document published on the official Russian government website says.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The decree will come into force on January 1, 2017.

"Set a priority for goods of Russian origin, work and services carried out or rendered by Russian individuals, in carrying out the procurement of goods, work and services… over goods originating from a foreign country, work and services carried out or rendered by foreign persons," the Friday document says.
