At Least 4 Dead, 100 Injured in Train Crash in Pakistan’s Multan

At least four people were killed and 100 others were wounded when two trains collided in Pakistan’s fifth most populous city of Multan, in the Punjab Province, local media report.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The accident occurred on Thursday when Awami Express going to the capital of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Peshawar, from Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city, collided into another train that was on the tracks in Multan "without schedule," Dunya News TV said.

As a result of the crash, four of the Awami Express cars got off track.

All of the injured have been taken to the hospital and the stranded people have been rescued, District Coordination Officer of Multan said as cited by Dunya News.
