WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The Ukrainian economy is showing signs of recovery despite severe economic problems, International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director and Chair Christine Lagarde said in press release.
"Ukraine is showing welcome signs of recovery, notwithstanding a difficult external environment and a severe economic crisis," Lagarde is quoted as saying in a release about a new IMF Tranche on Wednesday.
Lagarde noted the Ukrainian government has taken big steps to correct the crisis, but there is still more work to be done.
