BEIJING (Sputnik) — US President Barack Obama said China’s policy of setting prices for wheat, corn and rice above market levels had led to unfair subsidies.
The Chinese ministry replied in a statement published on its website it "regrets" that Washington had filed a case against it, but stressed it would take action to protect its trade and agricultural interests in accordance with WTO procedures.
According to the US president, this is the 14th complaint the United States has lodged against China with the WTO since he took office in 2008.
