The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan has said that candidates have until 23:59 on Monday (12 September) to apply for a "Night Czar" role. The position is paying US$45,000 per annum and is the first of its kind.

The position will mean that the successful candidate will act as an ambassador for London's night time economy and will work in areas such as venues, with local authorities, as well as the Metropolitan Police and Transport for London.

The "Czar" will set out a road map of how these services will be delivered and will also be building on the opportunities that the night tube will bring in order to help grow London's night time economy.

London is not the only city to utilize the services of a Night Czar, a similar role exists in other European cities such as Amsterdam, Paris, Zurich and in each of these areas, the role has been a great success.

So, if you are looking to make a difference in the capital and can see yourself in this role, you have until Monday evening to apply.
