WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The poll shows 41 percent of adults in the United States fear that remembrance of the day 15 years ago when al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked planes to destroy the World Trade Center in New York and attack the Pentagon, as well as the aftermath of the attacks, have largely faded.
Forty-four percent disagree with that contention, while 15 percent were unsure how to respond, Rasmussen noted.
The attacks, along with the crash of another aircraft in a Pennsylvania field, killed nearly 3,000 people.
