MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to NBC New York, a 15-year-old boy was arrested at the school, after the school officials found a loaded gun when his bag went through a scanner.
It is still unknown if the boy was a student at the campus. No charges have been pressed yet, but the boy is now in custody, the media outlet added.
In 2015, a number of students at New York city schools tried bring firearms at campus.
US public opinion on both guns and crime flipped from majority satisfaction to majority dissatisfaction following the December 2016 massacre of 20 children and 6 adults at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in the state of Connecticut, Gallup said.
