With PFIs — so called Private Finance Initiatives — gobbling up more and more of the budgets of individual hospitals and trusts in the United Kingdom and as the NHS has lost over 50 percent of its bed capacity in the past 25 years, the fabled national health system in the UK is starting to look in dire health. In fact, some say the prognosis is terminal, much like Obamacare.  Dr. Bob Gill of thegreatnhsheist.com warns Double Down that a ‘skid row’ NHS is on the way providing only the most basic services whilst the rest of the healthcare system gets turned into a US-style corporate bureacracy.
