Bolivian President Evo Morales said Wednesday that the country had recalled its ambassador to Brazil in the wake of former President Dilma Rousseff's impeachment.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, as many as 61 Brazilian senators voted to remove Rousseff from her post. A subsequent vote to bar Rousseff from holding public office for eight years failed.

"We are recalling our ambassador in Brazil to take measures necessary at the moment," Morales wrote on his Twitter page.
