Normandy Format Work on Ukraine Peace to Continue Despite Stalling Minsk Deal
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A meeting on Ukraine between Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Holland in China in September has not yet been confirmed, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.

"There has been no official confirmation of this meeting so far, it is currently being discussed through diplomatic channels," Peskov said.

Earlier this month, the Kremlin’s press service said that the three leaders agreed during a phone conversation to hold a joint meeting on the sidelines of the upcoming Group of Twenty (G20) summit set to be held in early September in China to continue contacts on Ukraine settlement issues.

The Normandy Four, comprising Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine, was established in the summer of 2014 in order to help settle the Ukrainian crisis.
