Since the beginning of the week in the region of Sinjar, Mosul province, Syria, clashes between armed Yezidi forces and the militants of Daesh have been ragging in full force.

According to the Yezidi forces, those terrorists who lost their positions near the cement factory in Sinjar tried to escape towards Tilkessab. There were about 300 militants who tried to flee.

One member of the Yezidi forces told Sputnik that the positions were held under the guidance of the US military, who trained the Yezidi soldiers.

“US serviceman was training our soldiers during clashes with Daesh militants, attacking terrorists with his own weapon,” Yezidi soldier told Sputnik.

According to him, the attack was successfully repelled. They managed to eliminate 70 terrorists, while the rest were forced to retreat.

Sputnik obtained an exclusive video of a US Army soldier firing at a Daesh militant while teaching Yezidi men how to defend their positions.

It is noteworthy that the American soldier was holding a Russian-made Kalashnikov assault rifle during the “master class.”

According to the Yezidi force member, the American officer is a member of the US military contingent in Iraq, who is present in Iraq as part of the International Coalition against Daesh for the purpose of military training and consultancy to the Yezidi armed forces and the Peshmerga forces.

The US military resides in the barracks of Yezidis in Sinjar.

Since, 2014 the residents of Sinjar have faced genocide and eviction at the hands of Daesh militants who seized the city.
