MOSCOW (Sputnik) – A Lufthansa Boeing 747 aircraft that took off from the German city of Frankfurt to Chicago, the United States, has returned back to Frankfurt International Airport over a medical emergency, the airline said Sunday.
"It had to return due to a medical emergency of one of the passengers on-board," Lufthansa wrote on its Twitter account.
Earlier in the day, flight tracking websites and apps said that the aircraft diverted after an emergency was declared on board.
