The essence of these courses is that it does not belong to any educational course, which includes standard academic subjects. This course teaches Syrian refugee children to become young journalists.
The association Beyond is a Lebanese non-governmental organization for non-profit aiming at promoting social, economic and educational welfare among several underprivileged groups. The association deals with the problems of Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
The Beyond association has invited professional journalists to the camp in the east of the country to train young minds in the art of journalism.
The purpose of the course, which is called the “Journalism Club,” primarily consists of bringing out journalistic potential in children. Young students are taught to write news texts, stories, prepare news releases, perform news report before an imaginary audience on TV etc.
The poem is dedicated to his mother. The symbol of mother has become a symbol of courage and patience for many Syrians in the bloody war.

Will give my soul for you, Oh! My mother!” Kharba recited.
“We are taught to create news and are told how to be professional journalists,” 15-year-old Waad said.
In addition, she said that she was trained to make reports and has already recorded a small report on the surrounding camp. During these courses, the young Syrian has also learnt English which is part of the curriculum for the young journalists.
“Most of all we are writing about the events and problems that occur in refugee camps,” Waad added.
At the end of Sputnik’s interview with the young journalists, Syrian boy Jamal Ibrahim demonstrated his skills in journalism, by playing the role of a correspondent in the refugee camp.
