US Vice President Joe Biden made an accidental slip of the tongue when referring to Serbia but instead calling it Croatia during a press statement with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade on Tuesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Biden is currently on a three-day visit to the Western Balkan states.

"This is not the first time we've met… I think we've become friends. My visit today is much too short but I believe we've accomplished a great deal. The Prime Minister [of Serbia Vucic] and I have got to know each other over the past several years and I mean it sincerely, I along with President Obama respect the leadership you've shown in some very tough challenging moments, Mr Prime Minister, and your positive vision for the future of Croatia," Biden said.

Serbian Radicals to Protest Biden’s Visit, Support Trump – Leader
The mistake came while around 300 supporters of the Serbian Radical Party rallied in the country's capital of Belgrade ahead of a meeting of Biden and Vucic.

The protesters were wearing T-shirts depicting US presidential candidate Donald Trump and urging to vote for him as a "friend of Russia," according to the Blic tabloid. The people also donned nationalist symbols. The protest action was soon stopped by local police.
