Germany considers the latest missile test by North Korea to be a direct threat to Japan and will use all channels to convey its objections to Pyongyang, the nation’s Foreign Office said Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — North Korea fired a ballistic missile from its eastern shore early Wednesday. It traveled hundreds of miles before plunging into the Sea of Japan not far from the northern Japanese coast.

"The firing of a missile in the direction of Japan and its landing 650 kilometers [155 miles] away from the northern Japanese shore is an obvious indication that Pyongyang is willing to endanger another country’s security," a spokesman for the German Foreign Office said in a statement.

The ministerial official said this act added "another dimension to North Korean provocations" and vowed to use "available direct channels" with Pyongyang to get the message across that the North’s irresponsible actions would only increase international pressure on its government.
