Boeing will help the Emirates to investigate the crash-landing of a passenger plane in Dubai on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US aerospace company Boeing will serve as a technical advisor to the Emirates in the investigation of a plane crash-landing in Dubai, the company said in a statement issued on Wednesday.

"Regarding Emirates Airline flight EK521, under the direction of the US National Transportation Safety Board, Boeing is launching a team and will serve as a technical advisor supporting the investigation led by the United Arab Emirates General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA)," the statement said.

The GCAA launched an investigation into the crash-landing five minutes before the aircraft’s scheduled landing. Emirate’s Boeing 777 had 300 people on board, including passengers and crew members. The airlines informed that there were no fatalities in crash-landing. However, one firefighter died saving the lives of others.
