MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The counter-Daesh operations in Syria and Iraq took place on July 30.
"In Syria, attack, fighter, and remotely piloted aircraft conducted 12 strikes. Near Raqqah, four strikes destroyed six ISIL [Daesh] excavators. Near Manbij, eight strikes struck eight separate ISIL [Daesh] tactical units and destroyed six ISIL [Daesh] fighting positions. The US-led coalition of more than 60 nations has been conducting anti-IS [Daesh] airstrikes in Syria and Iraq since 2014," the task force said in a statement issued on the US Department of Defense website.
In Iraq, the coalition alongside with the Iraqi government destroyed 15 Daesh rocket rails, seven Daesh mortar tubes, the strikes hit a Daesh mortar system, a Daesh artillery piece, among other targets.
The extremist group is outlawed in the United States, Russia and many other nations.
