Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Turkey and Russia are ready to make concrete decisions on bilateral relations, political, economic, regional issues, on the fight against the Daesh and the Nusra Front.

ANKARA (Sputnik) – Moscow and Ankara are ready to make joint decisions on the fight against the Islamic State (ISIL or Daesh) and the Nusra Front terrorist groups at the two leaders’ meeting next month, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Thursday.

Cavusoglu told reporters in Ankara his recent meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and other ministerial meetings laid the groundwork for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to St. Petersburg on August 9, where he will be hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“There will be concrete decisions on bilateral relations, political, economic, regional issues, on the fight against the IS [and] the Nusra Front,” Cavusoglu said, referring to terrorist groups outlawed in countries including Russia.
