Donna Brazile, the new Democratic National Committee interim chair, who was appointed amid controversy over leaked emails showing the DNC favored Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders in the presidential race, seems to be adhering to her predecessor’s style.

Emailgate 2.0: WikiLeaks Cache Shows Democrats Conspired to Stop Bernie
On Friday, WikiLeaks posted 19,252 emails from key DNC staffers that made it clear that the committee was conspiring against Sanders in the ongoing presidential campaign, using the Vermont Senator’s ancestry, religious beliefs and his campaign logistics as taglines in a number of high-profile media attacks.

Above all, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the recently deposed DNC chair, said, in one of her emails, that it would be “silly” to anticipate that Sanders could become the President of the United States.

Following the email leak, Schultz resigned, and the DNC issued an unprecedented apology to Bernie Sanders.

"On behalf of everyone at the DNC, we want to offer a deep and sincere apology to Senator Sanders, his supporters, and the entire Democratic Party for the inexcusable remarks made over email," reads the statement, signed by incoming chair Donna Brazile and other top brass at the DNC.

On Monday, a new revelation from Edward Snowden pointed out that Brazile is seemingly continuing the same tactics embraced by her predecessors. The former NSA contractor-turned-whistleblower posted Brazile’s hacked emails to his Twitter account on Monday.

In one of the emails published by WikiLeaks, Brazile claimed she had no intention to discuss the “fight between DNC and the Bernie Sanders camp” at the upcoming party convention, threatening to “cuss out the Sanders camp.”

Snowden poses the question, “Did the #DNC seriously just swap the Chair fired for anti-Sanders bias with a different anti-Sanders official?”

As Sputnik reported earlier, the first day of the Democratic National Convention has been marked by intense protest from Sanders supporters, resulting in several arrests.
