Berlin Police Say No Indication of Terrorism Behind Doctor’s Murder

There is no indication that the murder of a doctor at a clinic in southwestern Berlin is related to terrorism, the German city’s police said Tuesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The doctor whose name has not been made public died in the afternoon while in intensive care, shortly after he was shot at by a patient at the Campus Benjamin Franklin (CBF) clinic.

"We have currently no indications that the CBF [attack] in Steglitz had terrorist motives," police tweeted.

The patient killed himself, according to earlier reports. Police said they believed the attacker had acted alone.
