SAIC Corporation Wins $53Mln Contract to Provide Fuel, Chemicals Services

The Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has received a Defense Logistics Agency contract to provide logistics support for chemical and petroleum products to the US armed forces, the Department of Defense announced.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Under the contract, SAIC will be providing logistics support for chemicals and fuel to the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies, the Defense Department explained.

"SAIC [of] Fairfield, New Jersey, has been awarded a maximum $53.5 million… contract for three months for logistics support for chemical and petroleum products," the announcement stated on Thursday.

The contracting government body to oversee and administer the contract is Defense Logistics Agency Aviation in Richmond in the US state of Virginia, the announcement added.
