WADA Found No Role of Russian Olympic Committee in Doping Test Coverup

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has found no active role of Russian Olympic Committee in manipulations with doping tests of Russia's athletes, Richard McLaren, the author of WADA report on doping abuse by Russian athletes, said Monday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — He stated that at the same time some people, who were involved in doping manipulations, were either presidents of national federations of different sports, or were members of the Russian Olympic Committee, but the degree of their potential involvement in doping manipulation was unknown.

"We did some investigative work on the Russian Olympic Committee, we had a very intense 57 days and there is much more work that could be and needs to be done. We did not identify an active role of the Russian Olympic Committee," McLaren told reporters.
