In latest series of tests, Pyongyang has launched three ballistic missiles.

The projectiles were fired into the Sea of Japan from the country's east coast. According to the South Korean military, the missiles had a range between 300 and 360 miles.

Pyongyang Declares Ability to Attack the American 'Bastards'

The DPRK has conducted a series of tests in recent months. These have been condemned by the United Nations, with the US, South Korea, China, and Russia urging Pyongyang to tone down its actions. Harsh new sanctions were put in place in response to earlier tests.

Last month, the DPRK claimed to have successfully launched an intermediate-range missile with a range of 3,000 miles.

North Korea has also claimed to have developed a miniaturized nuclear warhead that could, theoretically, be launched with an intercontinental missile.

The United States has cited these tests as the reason for placing a new Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system on the peninsula, despite criticism from China that the missile system threatens its own national security.
