Over 40,000 People Gather in Nice to Mourn Victims of Recent Terror Attack
PARIS (Sputnik) — Tens of thousands gathered on the Promenade des Anglais to pay tribute to 84 people who were killed last Thursday. An Islamist gunman drove a heavy truck through a crowd marking the Bastille Day at the city's most popular venue.

"The anger of the French, their fear and despair are for me to bear…This is true, primarily, for responsible policy-makers…The whistles, the insults are out of place at a remembrance ceremony that pays tribute to the victims," Valls said, as quoted by Nice Martin newspaper.

A third day of mourning for those killed in the Nice massacre began in France on Monday. This week, the French parliament will consider a bill extending the state of emergency for three more months after the nation has been on high alert since Paris attacks last November.
