As demonstrations against police brutality in America continue, protesters have now taken to the streets in Chicago.

Following the shooting deaths of Alton Sterling in Louisiana and Philando Castile in Minnesota last week, Black Lives Matter protests have erupted across the country, including in Atlanta, Baltimore, Los Angeles, and Washington DC, demanding an end to police violence.

Over the weekend, hundreds were arrested.

Protesters have also gathered in Sacramento, California.

Protests in Atlanta have led to new arrests.

Last Wednesday, 37-year-old Alton Sterling was shot in the back by police while pinned to the ground in a gas station parking lot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. That same night, 32-year-old Philando Castile was shot and killed during a traffic stop in Falcon Heights, Minnesota.
