The two girls filmed the little furry animal drinking water from their water spray and uploaded it to Instagram with the caption, “There is nothing better than a sip of cool water in this heat after a hearty snack.”
The touching video became a huge hit and in just a day it got more than 700 views. In another post, Julia Alexandrovna, one of the girls who gave water to the animal, wrote on her Instagram that the video had attracted media attention.
“Who would have thought that our video would make it to news portals, today they called us twice.”
One media portal, NGS.Novosti, published the story telling that video was filmed on Wednesday, July 6. Julia and her friend came to sunbathe in a clearing on Tatyshev Island. The girls took water sprayers and some bread rolls with them to feed the gophers.
According to Julia one of the gophers was super active and came very close to them and wasn’t afraid to slurp up the water with its tiny tongue.
