MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, South Korean media reported that Washington and Seoul reached an agreement on the deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile defense system in the country in order to guarantee the security of South Korea from North Korean nuclear and ballistic threats.
"I do not exclude that this issue could become a discussion point at the Asian forums, which will be held in the Asian countries in the near future," the source said answering a question about discussion of US missile defense in South Korea at the upcoming ministerial meeting between Russia and the ASEAN nations, which is due to be held in Laos later in the month.
