WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland will meet with senior officials of Serbia and Kosovo during her trip to Europe this and next week, the State Department announced in a release on Wednesday.

Nuland is currently accompanying US Secretary of State John Kerry on his visits to Georgia, Ukraine, and Poland.

“On July 10, she will travel to Pristina, Kosovo, to meet with senior government officials and civil society representatives on a range of bilateral and regional issues, including progress on Serbia-Kosovo Dialogue implementation, support for Kosovo’s continued Euro-Atlantic integration, and anti-corruption efforts,” the release said.

There Will Be No EU Recognition of Kosovo After Brexit
Following the Kosovo visit, Nuland will head to Albania and Macedonia to discuss bilateral and regional issues, according to the State Department.

“She will then travel to Belgrade, Serbia, to meet with senior government officials and civil society representatives to discuss a range of bilateral and regional issues, including progress on Serbia-Kosovo Dialogue implementation, and continued support for Serbia’s EU accession efforts,” the release added.

The US assistant secretary of state will conclude her trip with travel to Cyprus on July 12, where she will meet with the country’s officials as well as with Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot leaders and Special Advisor of UN Secretary-General on Cyprus Espen Barth Eide.
