The CEO of Russia's nanotechnology company Rusnano, Anatoly Chubais, told Sputnik that he was ready to help the country's Center for Strategic Research (CSR) in the development of structural reforms to be applied to the Russian economy.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — He added that structural reforms, especially in the legal field, are needed, calling them "the pillars, the topic [of main concern] to be developed by the CSR under Alexei Kudrin."

"I am not part of the CSR body, nor an in-house expert but if there are any questions, I would be happy to help, however, they have good experts suitable for the task in hand," Chubais said.

In April, Russia's former Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin, a free-market champion and supporter of tight fiscal policies, was appointed chairman of the CSR board to take part in the development of the strategy for the country post 2018. The economist supports keeping the budget deficit to 1 percent of GDP and limiting inflation to 4 percent.
