The pound sterling is at its lowest since 1985 as incoming results from the UK referendum on EU membership show that Brexit supporters are coming ahead, The Wall Street Journal reports.

LONDON (Sputnik) – Earlier, it was reported that the pound was down to $1.38 against the US dollar, which is more than a 7 percent drop from just before the polls closed on Thursday evening.

The Leave camp is currently leading with over 11 million votes.
