Brexit Vote is UK's Own Business - Russian Foreign Minister
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – On Thursday, the United Kingdom held a referendum to determine whether or not the country should leave the European Union. According to the final results, 51.9 percent of voters, or 17.4 million people, decided to support Brexit, while about 16.1 million opposed it.

Peskov added that the EU is Russia’s very important trade and investment partner, and Moscow is interested in the EU remaining a major economic force, prosperous and predictable.

“I would like to recall the words that have been said by President [Vladimir] Putin: the Brexit subject is the United Kingdom’s internal affair and a topic of the relationship between the UK and the EU. The European Union is Russia’s very important trade and investment partner, so Moscow is interested in the EU remaining a major economic force, prosperous and predictable,” Peskov told reporters.

Earlier, Russian authorities repeatedly said that Britain's membership in the European Union is an internal matter of the UK and the EU, adding that Russia wants to see the EU united and strong.
