MOSCOW (Sputnik) – In addition to the murder count, Mair, 52, has also been charged with grievous bodily harm, possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offense and possession of an offensive weapon, The Telegraph reported.

The trial has been scheduled for November 14 while the next hearing will take place on September 19, and the plea hearing on October 4.

Cox, 41, a Labour lawmaker and pro-Remain campaigner, was shot and stabbed outside Birstall Library last Thursday as she held a regular meeting with her constituents in West Yorkshire. Along with Cox, a 77-year-old man who tried to help her sustained injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The incident occurred a week before the UK referendum on whether the country should stay in or leave the European Union.
