The United Nations (UN) may consider additional measures in response to North Korea's recent launching of two missiles, US Department of State spokesperson John Kirby said on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier on Monday, the South Korean, Japanese and US militaries detected two missiles fired from North Korea's eastern coast.

“The UN may still take up additional options going forward, that’s why we want these two particular launches to be discussed at the UN,” Kirby stated when asked about the US reaction to North Korea launching two missiles on Wednesday morning.
