The Kiev administration is unlikely to start resoling Eastern Ukraine crisis before the US presidential elections, Russian presidential administration chief of staff said in an interview broadcast Saturday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Kiev authorities are unlikely to make any moves toward the resolution of the Eastern Ukraine crisis before the presidential elections in the United States, Sergei Ivanov, the chief of staff of the Russian presidential administration, said in an interview broadcast Saturday.

"That is completely obvious…. Everything is interconnected," Ivanov told Russia's Vesti v Subbotu weekly news program on the Rossiya television channel, when asked if Kiev's policy on Donbas depended on the United States, adding that Ukraine's stance on the issue is unlikely to change before the November 8 US presidential elections.

He added that it was obvious that Kiev had no intention of implementing the Minsk agreements on the Donbas crisis resolution at the moment.
