18:00 GMT 16.06.2016 (Updated: 19:27 GMT 19.10.2022) The road-rail Kerch Strait bridge, which is probably the biggest and most ambitious infrastructure project undertaken by Russia over the last decade, is designed to provide a land route between mainland Russia and the Crimean Peninsula.
The bridge is expected to go operational in December 2018 and will become the longest bridge in Russia.
