WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier, it was reported that NATO is going to approve aid for Ukraine at the alliance’s summit in Warsaw after assessment of the reforms implemented in the country.
"Secretary Carter and Minister Poltorak reviewed US security assistance efforts designed to help build the capacity of Ukraine's forces," Cook stated.
In December 2014, the Ukrainian parliament amended two laws rejecting the neutral status of the country. Ukraine set the goal to be ready for joining NATO in 2020. In mid-December 2015, Ukraine and NATO signed a roadmap on defense-technical cooperation.
